Join the Alzheimer’s Association as we take steps to end Alzheimer’s disease! Beginning in September of 2011 the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter will begin hosting our new signature event, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, throughout our 68 county service area.

Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is a fun 3-mile interactive walk that educates participants about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical trial enrollment, and support programs and services of the Alzheimer’s Association. Each walker will also join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease.

“There has never been a greater need for the citizens of Illinois to join in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by participating in Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said Lisa Lee, vice-president of development for the Chapter. “Funds raised will provide care and support services to the 210,000 residents of Illinois living with Alzheimer’s, while also contributing to advancing critically-needed research.”
