As one of our newsletter readers, you probably know what a devastating disease Alzheimer’s is.  Right now there are more than 5 million Americans suffering from it-210,000 in Illinois alone-and countless others caring for them.  Every 71 seconds someone new is diagnosed.

Your donations help our experienced professionals provide the programs and services that make coping with this disease possible.  Funds also support researchers in their quest to find better treatments and, eventually, a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

Letter from the Editor

Hello Friends,

April was a whirlwind month here at the Greater Illinois Chapter and one that brought much success. Not only was Advocacy Day attended and supported by people through out the Chapter, but our staff put on numerous important community educations programs around the Chapter, and then the first Saturday in May saw the Family Conference being enjoyed by nearly 550 people. These are some of the very great things taking place in the Chapter amongst other great accomplishments by our staff, volunteers and constituents which you can read about in this e-newsletter.

Please remember that we always love to hear from you and what you are doing throughout the Chapter to help us create awareness of Alzheimer’s disease while we continue headlong towards finding a cure. And, as always, should you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me when you have a few moments.
