Join us in taking steps to end Alzheimer’s!
10 Memory Walks from June – October, from Rockford to Carbondale What’s more energizing than a brisk walk along a lake or through a park? What’s more enjoyable than gathering with family and friends for a fun-filled outing? How can you do both and support a great cause at the same time? Register now for one or more Memory Walks 2005, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Illinois Chapter on weekends from June through October, in 10 communities throughout the chapter service area. Memory Walk is our national fundraiser for programs and services to help the 210,000 people in Illinois who have Alzheimer’s in our service area, plus hundreds of thousands of family members and caregivers. Our goal is to exceed $1 million.
Momentum and energy already are building for Memory Walk 2005, especially among volunteers. Recently, a long-time Memory Walk volunteer replied to our invitation to participate again this year saying, “I would love to help out with another walk. I am planning my wedding and rehabbing our house and working 2 jobs but what the heck! Can you put me on the list? Let me know what you need! THANKS!!! Gretchen” Please join us—and bring your friends, family, and colleagues—to raise awareness of the steps we’re taking to end Alzheimer’s disease and to raise dollars for programs, services and support for those living with Alzheimer's.
