Here’s How to
Form a Memory Walk Team Today
It’s easy to step up to be a Memory Walk Team Captain. We offer tools and
tips to help set goals, motivate members, seek donations and share news
about team successes, starting with four easy steps:
Step 1—Name and
Register your Team!
Once your team has a name, register online at
www.alzheimers-illinois.org/memorywalk or call your local Chapter
office. Then, create your team’s home page and send e-mails from the
site.
Step 2—Set Your
Team Goals!
Set the number of members for your team and the total
amount your team will raise. The Memory Walk Web site has a sample plan
for each family team member to raise $200 or for a corporate team to have
donations from 10 percent of employees.
Step 3—Recruit
your Team Members!
Invite friends, family, co-workers, and members of social,
civic or fraternal organizations to join your Memory Walk Team (and
encourage them to invite others to join). Have team members register
online at:

Step
4—Motivate, Motivate, Motivate!
Share your enthusiasm and Memory Walk updates. We provide
lots of tips and tools, including ways to check donation totals 24 hours a
day for those teams registered online).
