A new partnership between CPI/Dementia Care Specialists and the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter.

CPI’sDementia Capable Caretraining program, delivered by Dementia Care Specialists, integrates three primary frameworks. These frameworks are used to develop proactive, abilities-focused care/service plans and helps interdisciplinary teams problem solve and make decisions. The program yields excellent client results, such as improving levels of independence and facilitating activity engagement, and helps contain costs associated with staff turnover and enhanced revenue through reimbursable therapy services.

The Alzheimer’s Association® essentiALZ™ certification program is a convenient way for individuals to be recognized for learning quality dementia care practices.

The essentiALZ program combines select HealthCare Interactive® CARES® online dementia care training with Alzheimer’s Association® online certification exams. The essentiALZ program was developed to recognize the knowledge of any caregiver who fulfills the certification requirements, regardless of whether they are paid or unpaid for their care of people with dementia.

Both family members and professional care providers can benefit from this program.

The Alzheimer’s Association Annual Conference for Professionals is designed to provide dynamic dementia education, insight on self-care and information on the newest research aimed to assist a wide range of healthcare professionals. This conference also provides six and a half credits towards professional continuing education requirements through the Continuing Education Institute of Illinois (additional processing fee of $15).
