The Alzheimer's Association is committed to accelerating the global effort to eliminate Alzheimer's disease. We are the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research. We connect with scientific, academic, government and industry thought-leaders and key stakeholders worldwide. We believe in the value of collaboration and are a catalyst toward the time when we will have disease-modifying treatments, preventive strategies and gold-standard care for all people affected by Alzheimer's disease.
Recruiting and retaining clinical trial participants is now the greatest obstacle, other than funding, to developing the next generation of Alzheimer's treatments. Alzheimer's Association TrialMatch® is helping to change this. Nearly anyone can help in the fight against Alzheimer’s and participate in Alzheimer’s research. Researchers are actively recruiting individuals: with dementia or a current diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, have a family history, caregivers, and healthy control subjects. TrialMatch is a free service that matches volunteers with dementia-related clinical studies.
